JOEL ARTHUR
Having entered the Portland hair scene in 2011, Joel has risen quickly. Technically and creatively trained through The Aveda Institute, he has continued to grow under local Aveda master stylists, in addition to attending advanced education with Aveda’s Geno Chapman, and colorist Ana Karzis. Having a firm foundation in Aveda’s concepts and techniques paired with his penchant for attention to fine details, he has built a following of guests that are unwavering in their love for his work. His unique talents start by considering the shape of the head, natural growth patterns of the hair, and unique facial features to create an effortless style that is customized to perfection for each individual client. Joel is committed to providing excellent care with results that will continue to stay beautiful in between visits. He is well known for his artistry with cutting and blending layers to create flawless movement, utilizing his vast knowledge of color theory to create natural-looking and balanced dimensional color, and his indiscriminate love of hair.
